2021 Willamette Valley Lavender Festival & Plein Air Show
Time & Location
About the Event
The Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg, Oregon will host the 16th Annual Willamette Valley Lavender Festival and Plein Air Art Show on July 10 & 11, 2021. This regional celebration of lavender, art, food, and exceptionally-made crafts is a unique and festive event which brings local lavender growers and the community together. The public is invited to attend at no charge.
This year, festival guests can enjoy more juried art and craft booths than ever before! Distinctive lavender products, purchasable fresh-cut lavender and lavender plants from local farms, the plein air art show, and lavender in myriad forms.
Food trucks will provide their full menus throughout the weekend, as well as specialty lavender-infused food and beverage options. Festival hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 10th and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 11th.
One hundred and fifty artists will display original paintings created “en plein air” (outdoors) during the Oregon Lavender Paint Out. The Paint Out takes place in the beautiful lavender fields of Oregon in the weeks prior to the Show and attracts both amateur and professional artists from around the Northwest and beyond.
Due to the pandemic, the 2020 festival was canceled and in its place we created an Online Festival on our website and social media featuring lavender DIY activities, fun facts, and links to our favorite vendors. We still found a way to celebrate lavender, but we are thrilled to be able to host the festival at almost a typical capacity in 2021.
