  7. Torrey Palms. Oil on Canvas. 12x12. Eryn

The sun begins to set on Torrey Pines State Natural Area, turning tufty clouds shades of light pink and yellow. A Torrey Pine clings to the cliffs, it’s needles windswept and brittle in the late fall sun. It’s trunk and branches, twist and turn, catching the golden light beautifully as it sways in the soft winds.

  8. Sunset at Broken Hill. Oil on canvas.12x

Dramatic light is cast across Broken Hill, as the sun descends on the horizon at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. The sandstone cliffs turn hues of red and orange, the light dancing across the creases in the stone, moving and pivoting with the sun. The shadows turn beautiful hues of purple, blue and dark red, the light ending sharply at every edge.

  9. Paradise Blooms.12x12. Oil on Canvas. Er

Birds of paradise bloom in the park overlooking the ocean in La Jolla, California. Their petals are like feathers in the wind, catching the light and refracting colors as they dance. The setting sun casts a soft orange glow on the marine layer. As the heavy fog descends in the distance, the ocean turns shades of purple and blue, its ripples catching the rays of light, in shades of soft orange and pink.

  10. Prickly Pear Blooms. Oil on canvas. 12x1

Golden hour descends on Torrey Pines State Natural area on the North side of the park. A prickly pear cactus reaches for the sun on the sandstone cliff. Soft rays of light cut through the sparse clouds, just long enough to softly kiss the spiny pads, and cast dramatic shadows on the sandstone overlooking the ocean.

  11. Thrashing Waves. 24x30. Oil on canvas. E

A vibrant sky whips over violent, thrashing waves against jagged outcrops near Yachats, Oregon at a wayside stop, known as Seal Rock. Named for its shape, certain views of Seal Rock mimic the shape of a seal turning its nose upward. The color of the sky dances off the rocks, providing them a warm pink glow.

  12. Badlands Sunset.

This painting was inspired by a camping trip taken in the Cove Palisades in Southeastern Oregon. Along the way to the campground, miles of remote land sit under wide open skies. Sunset falls over the rolling hills, casting an orange glow on the landscape, and on the clouds above.

  13. Walk With Me. 18x24. Oil on Canvas. Eryn

This painting was inspired by a camping trip taken at Nehalem Bay. From the campground, beach access follows a dune trail lined with trees, grasses and wildflowers. The sun cuts through the trees, from the top of the trail, casting dramatic shadows in the sunken footprints.

  14. The Cove Palisades 24x30. Oil on canvas.

The trail up to the Cove Palisades yield stunning views of the canyon, far and wide. Below, bright green waters swirl around the enormous formations, while above, bright desert brush clings to the cliffside.

  15. Hikes At Cape Falcon. 12x16. Oil on canv

The painting depicts a bright, clear blue sky overlooking the cliffside trail on a short hike up to views of Cape Falcon. Wildflowers speckle the foreground, down the side of the cliff, dropping 100 feet into a miniature bay, where the surf wraps around a small jagged outcrop¬¬.
